This course will introduce students the use of accounting information in planning, operation and control stages of managing an organization. Topics will cover: the use of accounting in making alternative choice decisions, the development and use of product cost information, and the use of accounting information for managerial planning and control. Students will also get an introduction to cost behavior, budgeting, responsibility accounting, cost control, and product costing.
